First Things First

To kick start this blogging business I have to first share one of my all time favorite things with you and that is my future husband Pat. Not only is he the most hilarious person on earth, he also keeps me grounded and supports me even through my most ridiculous of ideas....this blog perhaps? Being an artist as well (he's a painter and a tattooer) he understands the creative process and is always willing to help me.
   When we decided to get our engagement pics taken we struggled with whether to take conservative old fashion photographs or something that was more unique and perhaps a little bit weird. I looked at so many amazing, (and very fancy) engagement pics online. I perused hundreds of photographs of perfect brides-to-be with pin straight hair and perfect makeup and deep down I just knew that wasn't me. So, we decided to go the weird route. We had our engagement pictures taken last September by my friend Rachel Gardham and  we had a blast! Not only are they beautiful pictures but  I think they are very unique and very "us". I wore very little makeup and it was rainy and humid. We couldn't help the crappy conditions so we shrugged off any expectations and just had fun! New Beginnings

Spring is here. The very first buds are peeking on the trees and I am snuggled in my new home getting ready to tie the knot! For me, along with all this thawed ground comes a new outlook and a new beginning. So why not start a blog right? In the hustle and bustle of purchasing a home and planning a wedding I've realized how often I turn to my creativity to help me get through the day. I've realized how often I use beads, paint, glue and even lace as an outlook for my everyday frustration and stress...so why not share this with the world? (or at least my friends that live on the other side of the country) So here it is...the beginnings of what I hope to be a catalog of my jewelry projects, wedding projects, my gardens, cooking experiments, etc. for people to look at and to be inspired by.
