fashion friday: new specs

I need new glasses! I have been sporting the same frames for seven (holy crap!) years and I need to change it up. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to experiment with my look and try something  totally different! All the cool kids I have been hanging out with told me to try ebay. Basically you can bid on really inexpensive frames and then go to a local eye place to get your prescription put in!
Well, of course I bid on more than one pair and now I have two options to choose from. I wanted to try catseye 50's style (vintage) but now I don't know what to do. Do they make me look too old??

Change can be difficult and apparently I don't like to switch my glasses very often so I am stuck with a fashion conundrum. Stick with what I have or take a risk? Here is what I wear now.

Now I have two neat-o options!
My eyes are closed in the pic below because these glasses have really thick lenses. They are so thick  that they warp my eyeballs and make me look like an anime character! Yet, the frames are copper and the filigree accents are beautiful! This pair is amazingly made and despite being vintage have held up surprisingly well.

The second pair are smaller which I like but in poorer shape. The plastic that rests on the ears and nose is a little yellow. Although,  I am sure a proper cleaning could help that. They have silver accents and the plastic part of the frame is sort of charcoal gray.

The gray ones match more of my wardrobe (black) but the copper ones match my hair...hmmmm....

So if I make the leap and rock the "granny glasses" which pair should I pick?? Any advice? Thanks for looking. Love, Ms. Kate
